26 inches of snow in Virginia??? What the crap!!

This is the worst snow storm Virginia has had in many years. It is crazy...everything is closed, there are abandoned cars everywhere, because so many get stuck and do not know how to drive in the snow. We have been looking forward to light winters here..guess not! We had fun playing in it today. It's a bummer because we were supposed to go home tomorrow and our flight got cancelled and can't leave for 3 more days. We are planning on watching a lot of movies and hanging out indoors...especially to avoid all the crazy unexperienced drivers.

The best Sandwich place in VA!

This is the place we crave in Charlottesville. I just found these pics from when my mom and dad came in town to visit. We had to take them here to have a delicious sandwich from Little Johns. This is where Brandon and I like to meet up when he takes a break from studying, its right by the university.

My new favorite slippers!

I think I totally scored on this purchase at Sam's Club. They are the most comfy and warm slippers ever. Brandon thinks they are ugly and makes fun of me every time I wear them. He says I look like an Eskimo and my new name is Jacalowea when I wear them.

Christmas Treats and Decor

It snowed in Virginia yesterday and I thought it was a perfect day to stay in and make christmas treats to deliver to my neighbors. I made spritz cookies for the first time. With the help of a friend we also made caramels, toffee, peppermint bark and chocolate pretzels.

Here is my homemade Christmas wreath. It's kind of my new thing to make wreaths for the different holidays. It turned out ok...I didn't spend as much time on it as my Fall one.

Thanksgiving with Keith and Lindsay

Keith and Lindsay invited us to their place in Connecticut for Thanksgiving. It was so much fun and great to be with family over the holiday. They live about 7 hours away from us.
This is the massive lasagna Brandon got at a yummy restaruant in New York called "Bread". We had to take a picture to remember how large it was. I couldn't help myself, I had to take a bite and it was sure good.

Marine Corp. National Museum

Brandon's aunt and uncle live about 2 hours away from us, and they invited us to stay with them for the weekend. It was great getting to know them and they took us to the Marine Corp Museum that was awesome. We learned a lot about World War II, Vietnam War, and Korean War.

Our 1st Visitors!!

My Mom and Dad came to visit and we had a blast!! It was so much fun to have visitors. We gave them a grand tour of Charlottesville and took them to our favorite sandwich deli by the University of Virginia. In this pic we are on the grounds of Thomas Jefferson's house. I have the most amazing parents and I'm so grateful for them. It was so nice to see them and have them see where we live.

Apple Picking at Carter Mountain

Close to our house there is a place called Carter Mountain that has large orchards and vineyards. It is a beautiful view of Charlottesville. It's a fun place to go to pick fresh fruit that is in season. We picked fuji apples. After the mile hike to the top and back we ate a yummy apple donut and drank hot cider. I'm with my friend Sarah Fowler.

Halloween Party

A couple in our ward had a Halloween party and it was a lot of fun! We had fabulous spooky treats and the boys had fun with the donut eating contest. The couples that came were a mix of medical and law students.

BYU Game Party

We are watching the BYU vs. TCU game. Although it was a sad game, it was fun to hang with our friends in Chalottesville. We were excited to have Chad come down from Washington D.C to stay for the weekend.
